Pea Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head lettuce, shredded
    1/2 c. celery, diced
    1/2 c. green pepper, diced
    1/4 c. onion, diced
    8 oz. uncooked frozen petite peas
    1/2 to 3/4 pt. mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    4 oz. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
    8 slices crisp bacon
Preparation
    Layer ingredients as listed, except bacon, and refrigerate overnight.
    Before serving, top with bacon, fried crisp and crumbled.
