Date Nut Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks butter
    1 c. pecans
    2 c. Rice Krispies
    1 (18 oz.) pkg. chopped dates (Dromedary)
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    confectioners sugar
Preparation
    Melt butter.
    Add sugar and dates.
    Bring to a boil for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
    Take off eye and add the vanilla, then stir in mixed Rice Krispies and pecans.
    Drop onto wax paper by teaspoon.
    When warm, roll in balls and drop in confectioners sugar to coat.
