Heavenly Hash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. vanilla pudding
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. grape or strawberry preserves
    1 c. heavy cream, whipped
    3/4 c. pineapple tidbits
    1/2 c. miniature marshmallows
    1/4 c. coarsely chopped toasted almonds
    1/4 c. diced maraschino cherries, well drained
Preparation
    Prepare pudding according to package directions, using 1 1/2 cups milk.
    Pour into a bowl and chill.
    Blend strawberry or grape preserves into chilled pudding.
    Gently fold in remaining ingredients.
    Spoon into dessert dishes.
    Chill until ready to serve.
    If desired, garnish with whipped cream and a whole maraschino cherry.
