Ingredients

2 1/2 lb. hamburg
1 tsp. minced garlic
1 tsp. salt
1/4 lb. mushrooms (canned), cut up
1 tsp. oregano
10 ripe olives, diced (optional)
2 cans tomato soup
1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation

Brown hamburg.
When half browned, add salt, garlic, mushrooms and oregano.
Finish browning and pour off the fat.
Add diced olives and soup and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
Put split buns on a baking sheet.
Bake in 400\u00b0 oven until browned lightly (about 5 minutes).
Top buns with hamburg mixture and sprinkle cheese on top of mixture.
Bake for 7 to 10 minutes until cheese is melted. Serve open-faced.
