Hot Provolone Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 oz. (1/4 c.) shredded Provolone cheese
    1/4 c. mayonnaise
    1/2 tsp. Dijon mustard
    1/4 tsp. dried thyme leaves
    16 slices cocktail-sized pumpernickel bread
Preparation
    In a small bowl, combine cheese, mayonnaise, mustard and thyme; mix well.
    Spread about 1 1/2 teaspoons cheese mixture on each bread slice.
    Place slices on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Broil 4 to 6 inches from heat for 2 to 4 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
    Makes 16 appetizers.
