Potluck Dinner Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium or 4 huge white (red skinned) potatoes
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. sour cream
    8 fresh green onions, chopped with some greens
    1 c. (4 oz.) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
    1/3 c. butter, melted
Preparation
    Peel, quarter and boil potatoes until barely tender.
    Drain, cool and grate on large side of grater (or lightly mash).
    In large bowl, gently mix all ingredients, except butter.
    Place mixture in greased, shallow pan.
    Top with melted butter.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    If made day before, add butter just before baking.
