Broccoli Onion Deluxe - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen cut broccoli
    2 c. frozen whole small onions
    4 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper (optional)
    1 c. milk
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, cut up
    1 c. soft bread crumbs
    1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Cook broccoli according to package directions; drain.
    Cook onions in boiling, salted water until tender, about 10 minutes. In saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of the butter.
    Blend in flour, salt and pepper.
    Add milk all at once.
    Cook and stir until thick and bubbly.
    Reduce heat.
    Blend in cream cheese until smooth. Stir in vegetables.
    Turn into 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 20 minutes.
    Melt remaining butter and toss with bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese.
    Sprinkle crumbs over casserole. Bake 15 to 20 minutes more.
    Makes 10 servings.
