Grammas Cracklin Cornbread Hoecake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 to 2/3 c. cracklins
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 heaping Tbsp. plain corn meal
    2 water
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 450\u00b0.
    Soak cracklins in about 1/2 cup of water for about 10 minutes.
    Add the corn meal, salt and enough water to make a very thin batter.
    Pour into a greased 8-inch or 9-inch cake pan and bake for about 5 minutes and then turn oven down to 400\u00b0 and bake another 15 to 20 minutes (ovens and tastes vary, we like ours real brown and crunchy).
