Shipwreck - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground beef
    2 tsp. shortening
    salt and pepper
    1/4 c. onion, chopped
    2 c. potatoes, cubed
    2 c. peas and carrots
    1 can kidney beans
    1 can tomato soup
Preparation
    Fry (but do not brown) ground beef in shortening; drain and add salt and pepper to taste. In large Dutch oven, make layers starting with onions, potatoes, ground beef, peas, and carrots, beef, and kidney beans; add tomato soup last. Bake covered at 300\u00b0 for 3 hours.
