Creole Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. boneless round steak
    salt and pepper
    1 onion, chopped
    1 c. sliced celery
    1 c. tomato juice
    3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1/8 tsp. garlic powder
    1 medium green pepper, chopped
    2 1/2 oz. can sliced mushrooms, drained
    1/2 to 1 c. red cooking wine
    2 tsp. dry mustard
    1 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    Cut steak into 1/2 x 2-inch strips and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place in slow cooker with onions, celery, tomato juice, Worcestershire, garlic powder, wine, dry mustard and sugar.
    Cook on high setting for 30 minutes.
    Add green pepper and mushrooms. Cook on low setting 6 to 8 hours.
    This recipe can be modified for stove top cooking.
