Chocolate Caramel Nut Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (14 oz.) bag caramels
2/3 c. (5 1/3 oz. can) evaporated milk
1 German chocolate cake mix with pudding
1/2 c. margarine, melted
1 1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
Preparation

Melt caramels with 1/3 cup milk over low heat until smooth. Combine remaining milk, cake mix and margarine; mix well.
Press half of it into bottom of 13 x 9-inch greased pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 6 minutes.
Sprinkle with 1 cup walnuts and chocolate pieces over crust and top with caramel mixture, spreading to edges.
Top with teaspoons of remaining cake mix and press into caramel mixture.
Sprinkle rest of nuts.
Press lightly.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes; cool and cut into bars.
Makes 2 dozen.
