Streusel Caramel Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
3/4 c. cold butter
3/4 c. chopped nuts
24 caramels, unwrapped
1 can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
In large bowl, combine flour, sugar and egg.
Cut in 1/2 cup of butter until crumbly.
Stir in nuts. Reserve 2 cups.
Press remainder firmly on bottom of greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake 15 minutes.
Meanwhile in saucepan over low heat, melt caramels, milk and remaining butter.
Pour over prepared crust.
Top with reserved crumb mixture.
Bake 20 minutes.
Cool.
Cut into bars.
Store loosely covered at room temperature.
