Red-Eye Gravy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 slices country ham
    1/4 c. oleo
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. strong black coffee
Preparation
    Fry ham in oleo over low heat; remove from pan.
    Stir sugar into drippings until dissolved, stirring constantly.
    Add coffee, stirring well.
    Simmer 5 minutes.
