Scallop Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. scallops
    1 c. green pepper, finely chopped
    1 c. celery, finely chopped
    1/2 c. onion, finely chopped
    1 1/2 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. flour
    2 c. milk
    2 tsp. salt
    pepper to taste
    4 c. cooked rice
Preparation
    Saute peppers, celery and onions in butter until soft.
    Blend in flour.
    Add milk; cook until thickened.
    Add cheese; blend well. Layer into casserole alternately with scallops.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Serve over rice.
