Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. raisins
    1 lb. currants
    1 lb. cherries, crystallized
    1/2 lb. pineapple, crystallized
    1/4 lb. orange peel, crystallized
    1/4 lb. citron, crystallized
    1/4 lb. lemon peel, crystallized
    1/2 lb. dates
    1/2 lb. almonds
    1/2 lb. English walnuts
    1/2 lb. pecans
    1 lb. butter
    6 eggs
    4 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. fruit cake spice
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 pt. grape juice
    2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Cream butter, sugar and eggs together.
    Sift flour, baking powder and soda and sift again.
    Cut fruit and flour with 1/2 flour.
    Add spice to floured fruit.
    Mix batter with 1/2 flour and grape juice.
    Line pan with two layers waxed paper and grease. Bake 5 to 6 hours at 250\u00b0.
    This recipe makes two 5 pound cakes. Use tube cake pan.
