Italian Easy Cassata Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lemon cake mix or butter cake mix
    2 lb. Ricotta cheese (lite)
    1 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 tsp. lemon extract
Preparation
    Mix cake according to directions, pour into 9 x 13-inch greased and floured pan.
    Mix cheese, sugar, eggs and extract.
    Pour over cake and mix in pan evenly.
    Bake for 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
    Frost cake with the following:
    8 ounce container Cool Whip folded into lemon pie filling (pie filling mixed according to directions) or just plain lemon pie filling.
