Terry'S Perfect Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. sifted flour
3 1/4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
2 to 4 Tbsp. sugar
1 egg, well beaten
1/3 c. Crisco, melted
1 1/4 c. milk
Preparation

Sift flour with baking powder, salt and sugar (sugar may be omitted).
Combine beaten egg, milk and melted Crisco.
Turn liquids into dry ingredients; stir vigorously until all flour is dampened.
The batter will look lumpy (don't overstir).
Pour batter into greased or sprayed glass dishes.
(Muffin or cupcake pans can also be used, but they come out beautifully high in glass dishes.)
Bake in hot oven at 400\u00b0 for about 30 minutes (less if you use tins).
Makes 5 large in glass dishes or 12 small in tins.
