Pineapple Frozen Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1 can crushed pineapple (medium size can; I use no sugar added)
    1 (3 oz.) box lemon jello
    1 tub Cool Whip
    1/2 lb. grated American cheese
Preparation
    Dissolve 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup water and 1 can crushed pineapple.
    Boil for 5 minutes.
    Mix lemon jello with hot ingredients and put in freezer until becomes pretty thick.
    Then add Cool Whip and grated cheese.
    Freeze.
