Southern Pilau - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 slices bacon, diced
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 c. long grain rice, uncooked
    2 cans of Trappey's okra and tomatoes
    1 c. cooked, diced ham
    1 c. tomato juice
Preparation
    Fry bacon and drain.
    Add onion and rice to bacon dripping in skillet.
    Cook for 5 to 10 minutes, until rice is transparent. Spoon the skillet mixture and other ingredients into a casserole dish.
    Cover.
    Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
