Tomato Beef Stroganoff - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. round steak, trimmed of fat
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    freshly sliced mushrooms
    1 can condensed tomato soup
    1 c. buttermilk or as needed
    dash of hot pepper sauce
    1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1/2 tsp. salt
    pepper to taste
    2 Tbsp. flour, stirred into 1/4 c. cold water
Preparation
    Cut steak across grain into thin strips (easier if the meat is partially frozen).
    After cutting, bring steak to room temperature for better browning.
