Macaroni And Cheese - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 to 1 1/2 c. elbow macaroni (uncooked)
1/4 c. margarine or butter
1 small onion, chopped (1/4 c.)
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. flour
1 3/4 c. milk
8 oz. pasteurized processed cheese (such as Velveeta, cut into 1/2-inch cubes)
Preparation

Cook macaroni as directed on package.
Cook and stir margarine, onion, salt and pepper together over medium heat until onion is slightly tender.
Blend in flour.\tCook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is smooth and bubbly. Remove from heat; stir in milk.
Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute.
Remove from heat.\tStir in cheese until melted.
Place macaroni in ungreased 1 1/2-quart casserole.
Stir cheese sauce into macaroni.
Bake, uncovered, 30 minutes at 350\u00b0. Makes 5 servings.
