St. Anne'S Brunch Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 - 6 slices whole bread - cut in chunks
    1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
    1/2 cup shaved ham (optional)
    1/2 lb. sliced mushrooms (optional)
    croutons (flavored)
    6 eggs
    2 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. dry mustard
    pepper to taste
Preparation
    Refrigerate overnight for baking next morning.
    Use a 9 x 13 inch pan.
    Butter bottom of pan.
    In bowl, mix eggs with milk, add salt, mustard and pepper.
    Beat till well blended.
    Set aside. Place bread cubes in bottom of pan, (enough to cover bottom). Layer cheese (and optional ingredients).
    Pour egg mixture over bread.
    Top with croutons and dot with butter.
    Refrigerate covered over night.
    Bake uncovered at 350\u00b0 for 35 - 40 minutes. Serves 12.
