Seven Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    1 c. diced celery
    4 hard-boiled eggs
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, thawed and uncooked
    1 to 2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. diced green pepper
    1 medium onion
    8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
    1 to 2 c. mayonnaise
    4 oz. Cheddar cheese, shredded
Preparation
    Layer first 7 ingredients in order in a 12 x 9-inch glass dish. Combine mayonnaise and sugar. Spread evenly on top of salad. Sprinkle with cheese. Cover and refrigerate 8 to 12 hours. Garnish with parsley.
    Makes 12 servings.
