Frozen Banana Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 bananas, mashed
    1 (8 1/2 oz.) can crushed pineapple, undrained
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 (6 oz.) jar maraschino cherries, drained and cut into squares (use a little juice for color if desired)
    1/4 c. chopped pecans (optional)
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 to 3/4 tsp. salt
    2 cartons sour cream
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients.
    Stir very well and pour into a 9-inch square dish or pan.
    Freeze until firmly set.
    Cut into squares and serve.
    Yields 8 to 10 servings.
