Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. light syrup
    1/2 stick margarine
    1 heaping tsp. soda
    1/2 c. water
    2 c. raw peanuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cook the sugar, water and syrup until it spins a thread.
    Add the peanuts.
    Cook until a golden brown.
    Remove from heat.
    Add 1 heaping teaspoonful soda.
    Stir and pour on a well-greased cookie sheet.
    Cool and break into pieces.
