Penuche Nuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. light brown sugar, packed
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. commercial sour cream
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. English walnuts
Preparation
    In 2-quart saucepan, combine sugar with cream and stir well over low heat until sugars
    are dissolved.
    Cover and bring to a boil.
    Boil 1 minute or until all sugar crystals on sides of pan have melted.
    Remove cover and cook until a ball (little harder than a soft ball) forms when dropped in water.
    Remove from heat and add vanilla and nuts.
    Stir until mixture begins to cover nuts.
    Turn on waxed paper (sprayed with Pam) and separate nuts. \"Store in airtight container.\"
