Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 German chocolate cake mix
    1 stick margarine, softened
    1 1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. oil
    1 can Eagle Brand milk
    1 lb. bag caramels
    pecans, chopped
Preparation
    Combine and mix well:
    cake mix, margarine, water, oil and 1/2 can of Eagle Brand.
    Pour 1/2 the batter into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Melt and mix together the caramels and remaining 1/2 can of Eagle Brand milk. Spread over the baked layer.
    Sprinkle generously with chopped pecans.
    Cover with remaining cake batter.
    Bake for 25 to 35 minutes longer.
    Frost.
