Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. sirloin or round steak, cut in small pieces
    4 Tbsp. oil
    garlic salt to taste
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. ginger powder
    2 large green peppers, cut in strips
    1 large can tomatoes
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. cold water
    4 Tbsp. soy sauce
    2 to 3 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    Heat oil, garlic, salt, pepper and ginger.
    Saute steak in mixture until brown.
    Add tomatoes and green peppers.
    Simmer 15 minutes until green peppers are tender.
    Combine cornstarch, soy sauce and sugar.
    Add to meat mixture stirring until thick.
    This makes the gravy.
    If too thick, add 1/4 cup water.
    Serve over rice.
