Fresh Fruit Dip - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. hot water
    2/3 c. light corn syrup
    2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
    dash salt
    1/4 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 c. mayonnasise
    1 Tbsp. shredded orange peel
Preparation
    Combine sugar, corn syrup, hot water.
    Heat slowly until sugar is dissolved.
    Boil without stirring to firm ball stage (248\u00b0). Gradually beat hot syrup into stiff egg whites.
    Add salt and vanilla.
    Cool.
    Fold in mayonnaise and orange peel.
    Serve as dressing for strawberries, fruit salad or any fresh fruit.
