Fried Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large green tomatoes (2 lb.)
    1 c. flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 to 3 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. bacon drippings
Preparation
    Cut tomato in slices 1/2-inch thick.
    Mix flour and 1/2 of sugar.
    Sprinkle on both sides of the slices the remaining sugar and salt.
    Dip the slices in the flour and sugar mixture.
    Let stand for 5 minutes and dip again.
