Lemon Slices - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter, soft (not melted)
2 c. flour
1/2 c. powdered sugar
5 eggs
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
6 Tbsp. (fresh only) strained lemon juice
1 tsp. baking powder
4 Tbsp. flour
Preparation

Mix slightly beaten eggs, sugar, salt and lemon juice.
Mix baking powder and flour and add to egg mixture.
Spread on warm layer as soon as you take it out of the oven and bake an additional 30 minutes.
Can be sprinkled with powdered sugar or left plain.
Cut into bars when cool.
Freezes well with wax paper in between layers.
