Good Luck Black-Eyed Pea Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 1/2 tsp. chopped garlic
    2 cans chicken broth
    1 can chopped tomatoes
    1 c. thinly sliced carrots
    1 (2.75 g) pkg. Pioneer Country gravy mix
    1 c. milk
    1 (16 oz.) can black-eyed peas, drained
    2 c. water
    1 c. chopped ham
    1/2 tsp. dried thyme leaves
    1/2 c. uncooked small size pasta
Preparation
    In large stockpot, heat oil over medium heat. Add onion, celery and garlic.
    Cook and stir for 5 minutes. Add broth, tomatoes, peas, water, ham and thyme.
    Bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.
