Mashed Potato Nests - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    9 medium potatoes
    1/4 c. butter
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2/3 c. hot milk
    1 1/2 c. cooked peas
    1 1/2 c. finely diced, cooked carrots
Preparation
    Cook potatoes; mash until smooth. Add butter, seasonings and hot milk, beating until light and fluffy.
    Make 6 mounds of mashed potatoes in a buttered, shallow baking pan.
    Shape into nests with spoon and fluff edges with a fork.
    Fill centers with well seasoned peas and carrots.
    Place under broiler until edges of potatoes are hot and lightly browned.
