Boomer Chili - cooking recipe
Ingredients

64 oz. beef broth
1 medium red onion
2 chili peppers
3 lb. beef
2 Tbsp. Crisco
3 cloves garlic
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. oregano
2 Tbsp. cumin
1 Tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. paprika
6 oz. tomato paste
2 Tbsp. masa flour
Preparation

Simmer beef broth, peeled red onion and seeded chili peppers for one hour.
Remove onion and peppers and finely chop them.
In a large pot melt the Crisco and saute the garlic, onion and peppers.
Cut the beef into 1/2 inch squares and add them to the pot.
Cook them over medium heat until they are gray.
Add the salt, oregano, cumi, chili pepper, black pepper and paprika and stir together for about 2 minutes.
Add the beef broth and simmer over low for 2 hours.
Stir in masa flour and cook for another 20 minutes.
Serve when at the proper thickness.
