Apple Hassie Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3 medium apples
1/4 c. molasses
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. oil
1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt

Preparation

Peel and slice apples.
Add molasses and water.
Cook until apples are tender.
Beat oil, sugar and egg, then add flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
Pour all liquid of apples. Add milk to make 1 cup of liquid; add to batter.
Fold in apples. Sprinkle topping on before baking in 9 x 13-inch pan.
