Banana Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 large egg
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 tsp. butter flavoring
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. mashed bananas (3 medium)
Preparation
    Beat shortening at medium speed with electric mixer until fluffy.
    Gradually add sugar, beating well.
    Add egg, vanilla and butter flavoring, beating until blended.
    Combine flour and soda; add to shortening mixture alternately with bananas, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
    Spoon batter into greased muffin pans, filling 2/3rds full.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Yields 15 muffins.
