Date Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Eggs
    1 c. Sugar
    1 tsp. Vanilla
    1/4 tsp. Salt
    1 c. Chopped Dates
    1 c. Nuts
    1 c. Flour
    1 tsp. Baking Powder
Preparation
    Beat eggs until light, add sugar and beat 2 minutes.
    Add the rest of the ingredients and blend well.
    Pour into a shallow pan lined with waxed paper.
    Bake 25 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    While still warm, cut into bars and roll in confectioner's sugar.
    Raisins, figs, or currants can be used instead of dates.
