Green Pickled Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 qt. green tomatoes
    1 c. red bell pepper
    3/4 c. pickling salt
    2 qt. onions, chopped
    1/4 c. jalapeno pepper
    6 c. sugar
    2 tsp. mustard seed
    1/2 gal. vinegar (white)
    2 tsp. pickling spice
Preparation
    Put salt over vegetables; let stand overnight.
    Drain well. Add sugar, mustard seed, vinegar and pickling spice.
    Bring to a boil.
    Cook until tomatoes change color, about fifteen minutes. Put in jars and seal.
