Cherry Soup With Elan - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. rinsed, drained and pitted, dark or light, sweet cherries
    1 qt. white grape juice
    2 Tbsp. grated lemon peel
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    4 Tbsp. Grand Marnier or other orange-based liqueur
    mint sprigs (for garnish)
Preparation
    Divide cherries among 4 soup bowls.
    In a 2 to 3-quart pan, rapidly bring the grape juice and lemon peel to boiling over high heat.
    Add the lemon juice and Grand Marnier.
    Pour over cherries. Garnish with mint sprigs.
    Serves 4 (of course).
