Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 c. water
    2 c. peanuts
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. soda
Preparation
    In large saucepan, cook sugar, syrup and water to hard ball stage.
    Add peanuts and cook until golden brown.
    Add butter and vanilla; stir until well mixed.
    Add soda and stir well.
    (Do not stir too long after adding soda.)
    Pour into a buttered pan. Yields approximately 2 pounds.
