Betty Lou'S Pecan Toffee Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. (2 sticks) butter, softened
    1 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 3/4 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
    8 (1 oz. each) sq. semi-sweet chocolate
    64 pecan halves or 3/4 c. finely chopped pecans
Preparation
    Preheat oven to moderate (350\u00b0).
    Grease 15 x 10 x 1-inch jelly roll pan.
    Beat together butter and sugar in large mixer bowl until well mixed.
    Beat in egg and vanilla.
    Stir in flour until well blended.
