Best Fried Pies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 large can evaporated milk
    1/2 c. Crisco shortening
    4 tsp. baking powder
    2 eggs
    fruit filling
Preparation
    Mix ingredients well and let stand 2 hours, covered with cloth, or may be left overnight in refrigerator.
    Using a walnut size piece of dough, roll and cut the size of a saucer.
    Fill with favorite pie filling.
    Close by folding in half and seal.
    Fry in Crisco vegetable shortening (solid shortening) until golden brown. Dust with powdered sugar (optional).
