Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour, sifted 4 times
    2 c. sugar
    2 1/2 sticks butter, softened
    6 eggs
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add eggs one at a time to creamed mixture, beating well after each egg.
    Add flour (about 2 tablespoons at a time).
    Beat in vanilla.
    Spoon into greased and lightly floured tube pan.
    Bake 1 hour at 300\u00b0.
    Check oven after 45 minutes; don't let it dry out.
    Can be frozen and thawed.
