Corn Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. corn meal
1 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
1 c. sour milk or buttermilk
1 egg, well beaten
2 Tbsp. melted shortening
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
Lightly coat 16 (2 1/2-inch) muffin pans with oil spray.
Mix flour, corn meal, baking powder, salt and sugar.
Stir in milk, oil and eggs until all are moistened. Bake in 400\u00b0 oven for 25 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in centers comes out clean.
Let muffins cool in pan for 10 minutes before turning out.
