Bean Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (No. 2) can green beans
    1 (No. 2) can yellow wax beans
    1 (No. 2) can red kidney beans
    sliced onions
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1/3 c. salad oil
    3/4 c. sugar
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Drain all beans; bring to a boil vinegar, oil and sugar.
    Pour over beans with onions while hot.
    Chill overnight.
    If you like, cucumber and green pepper may be added.
    Also, I like to use purple onions for taste and color.
