Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 to 10 medium to large potatoes
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 to 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    Cheddar cheese
    pepperoni slices (optional)
    bacon bits (optional)
Preparation
    Peel potatoes; slice them.
    Rinse before starting.
    Cook potatoes until tender.
    Crumble ground beef in medium saucepan. Add onion; cook until brown and onion is soft.
    Use a stick of butter to grease casserole dish.
    Drain grease from beef.
    Place a layer of potatoes, then sliced cheese and put over potatoes.
    Add layer of ground beef and onion.
    Continue to do this until all potatoes, ground beef and onion are used.
    Garnish with pepperoni and bacon bits, if desired.
    Place in a 400\u00b0 oven for 20 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
    Makes about 7 (1-cup) servings.
