Microwave Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. white corn syrup
    1 c. white sugar
    1 c. dry roasted peanuts
    1 tsp. margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Combine syrup and sugar in 1 1/2-quart round microwave bowl. Stir well until evenly blended.
    Microwave on High for 4 minutes. Stir in nuts; microwave on High for 3 to 5 minutes, until light brown.
    Stir in margarine and vanilla; blend well.
    Microwave on High for 1 to 2 minutes.
    Add baking soda; stir until light and foamy.
    Quickly pour into lightly greased baking sheet.
    Cool; break into small pieces.
    Store in airtight container.
    Makes 1 pound.
