Buttermilk Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    2/3 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Cut shortening into dry ingredients until it resembles coarse meal.
    Add buttermilk and stir until it forms ball around fork. Knead 14 times, pat on floured board or waxed paper until 1/2-inch thick.
    Cut and place in 2 greased 8-inch cake pans.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
