Chili Con Carne - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large onions, chopped
    1 large clove garlic, crushed
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    3 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. hot pepper sauce
    1 bay leaf
    1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans
Preparation
    Saute onion and garlic in oil until tender.
    Add meat to brown, stirring to break up.
    Drain meat.
    Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, oregano, salt, pepper sauce and bay leaf. Bring to a boil.
    Cover and simmer 1 hour, stirring frequently. Stir in kidney beans and cook 15 minutes.
    Discard bay leaf. Makes 4 servings.
