Mom Bardo'S Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. cornmeal
    2 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    3 tsp. baking powder
    pinch of salt
    2 eggs
    1 c. sweet milk
Preparation
    Cream sugar, shortening and eggs.
    Sift together cornmeal, flour, baking powder and salt.
    Then add alternately with milk. Bake in a loaf pan at 350\u00b0, about 40 minutes.
    (I used cornmeal from Alderfers Pantry from Troy.)
